Having spent a considerable amount of time on the Internet surfing, er. . . um, doing market research, I’ve come across a few websites that are interesting and/or informational. If you’d like, take a moment or two to visit them by clicking on the links below.
Forums:
www.delphiforums.com: This is a great place for all sorts of interests. You’ll need to create a member name in order to post. My favorite forum is “The Quilting Bee,” which has very friendly people with whom to swap blocks and fabric, not to mention information, tips and advice.
Quilt Patterns:
www.quiltville.com: Bonnie Hunter is the scrap queen! As the author of three terrific books (available for sale here on Heavenly Hills Fabrics and Crafts, of course!), she has a wealth of patterns, tips and ideas for scrap organization and use.
www.quilterscache.com: This is one of the very best free block pattern sites! Marcia Hohn’s patterns are a terrific place to look for blocks when starting a new quilt project.
www.quiltersvillage.com: The home of C. K. Media, the publisher of many of our favorite quilt magazines. They have tons of beautiful free patterns - just go down the left menu and click on Pattern Listings.
www.freequiltpatterns.info: Victoriana Quilt Designs has a comprehensive listing of patterns on other sites divided by category or alphabetized by name.
www.patternbee.com: Great place for redwork embroidery designs. Some are for sale at very reasonable prices, but she also has a free section with printable designs.
www.e-patternscentral.com: A commercial site for many different categories of needlecraft patterns.
www.equiltpatterns.com: Some great patterns for sale here, but they also have a section of free patterns.
Services
www.valeriecustomquilting.com: A great site by a very talented lady. Her high standards, work ethic and attention to detail make Valerie Bradley a top choice for long-arm quilting services and custom quilt making.
This listing will be updated as I find more great sites!
